Dramatic Arts (New) Stephanie Smiley-Teacher
Grades 7 and up

We will use improvisation games which help students develop skills for growing actors. The improv technique is utilized by thousands of improvisational troupes world wide. Students develop the script, costumes and sets for a short play or series of sketches which culminate in a performance for friends and relatives.

ACTING FOR THE CAMERA:

HIGH SCHOOL teaches basic acting

principles through theatre and improvisation games. Students are also introduced to the world of visual storytelling through fun, handson

Choir / Drama (Elementary)

We are looking forward to another great year of music.  Our philosophy for our choir / drama program is to teach the children basic musical and drama skills in a Christian atmosphere.  At the beginning of the year they will be working towards our Christmas recital.  In the winter the children will be learning a Christian musical drama having fun all along the way.  This year we will be adding a new twist to this class.  We will be teaching the children basic sound and lighting techniques.  Mr. Heigl has had over 30 years experience in sound reinforcement and will be training children to both set up and run a sound system.  We will also be training the children some basic lighting techniques, from spots to light trees.
