Servant's Heart is actively involved in inner-city missions. Several years ago we began our outreach in Portland a small inner-city community in the heart of downtown Louisville. Each week we're involved in ministering to children through various programs including Royal Rangers, a Christ-Centered scouting outreach. We are also endeavouring to reach out to the community through all kinds of creative outreaches, from "Pictures with Santa", Community-wide cook outs, to Adult Bible studies and Clothing give-a-ways.We are also colaboring with several other churches in the Portland area. Ministry like "Touched Twice, community Thanksgiving celebration (this year we hope to feed over 1000), and active street ministry are at the core of our vision. God has given us several properties downtown and we are using them to help provide housing for both inter-city missionaries, and those who are in serious need. We are also currently involved in a huge renovation of a three story property on Alford that will be used for a Royal Rangers base, community resource center, and expanded inter-city missionary housing.
